The Scouting .org website states; “To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform.
The various religious groups administer the programs.” Information about the curriculum and the religious organization that best suits your faith, you can contact the local service center and obtain the curriculum books. These awards can be earned by you and by adult scouters. Click on the chart for a listing of specific awards by faith and information on requirements for each award. Boy Scouts of America has created a new position of the Religious Emblems Coordinator at the council and District levels. This position was create with intention of increasing the number of youth in scouting who earn and receive the religious emblem in their faith.
